Forgive me, but there have been a lot of exchanges on this topic and I may not have seen them all, but is there an independent (note the word, ³independent²) cost-benefit, lifecycle analysis of this project comparing comprehensive recycling /composting to whatever status quo situation the county sees with its investment in a plasma arc gasification incinerator? And if so, could you please direct me to where it¹s posted? I have never been one who believes in magic bullets?especially with burn technologies, but there is obviously a place for them if the engineering analysis makes sense. It costs a lot to heat garbage no matter how you cut the cake. It costs a lot to get people to recycle too.
