[GreenYes] NYTimes - used cell phone exports ease world poverty

I'll be leaving in a week to visit Cairo, where a former medical
student has opened 4 computer refurbishing warehouses to sell to other
med students... kind of a Michael Dell Al-Atari (M.Dell started his
business by refurbing PCs in his Texas dorm room).

Today's article in the NYTimes covers the side of electronics exports
WR3A is trying to enable.

Can the Cellphone Help End Global Poverty?

WR3A is holding its second annual conference in Chicago with Recycling
Today magazine June 22-24. There are 3 tracks, Electronics, Plastic
and Paper. Our focus is Fair Trade - ensuring USA companies properly
remove and recycle obsolete scrap, and helping them find legitimate
overseas buyers for the remainder.
