We consume a few items for which recycling is highly unlikely or problemmatic. A large category is thermoset plastics. In a basic sense, thermosets, such as epoxies and urethanes, can not be reformed when reheated, as can thermoplastics. Some researchers have developed methods to use recovered thermosets as fillers, but this is not yet a commercial practice. Another extremely hard to recycle (if not impossible) product is fiberglass. _______ Jerry Powell, Editor and Publisher Resource Recycling Magazine E-Scrap News Plastics Recycling Update P.O.
