[GreenYes] ONP Content in Wisconsin

    According to the Wisconsin DNR, the minimum recycled content for ONP in
2000 "was 33%. ... 64 ... publishers reported using 186,698 tons of
newsprint in 2000. Of that total, 78,313 rons were post-consumer recycled
fiber. This reprsents a 5% decrease in recycled fiber compared to 1999. On
average, newsprint used in Wisconsin container 45.48% postconsumer fiber [in
2000].  ... for 2001 and 2002 the minimum standard will be 37%. The minimum
standard will be raised to 40% in the year 2003 and thereafter."
