[GRRN] LANDFILL LIFE

Dear Greenyesers

According to the engineer. Mr. Lee, current landfill liners are not a
permanent solution for our trash - they will eventually leak in pinholes,
not detected by the wells. The only real solution is wet cell treatment,
and that would raise tip fees to about $100/ton (where it should be).

Given that, and given current ownership of the mega landfills -- it
occurred to me that the big haulers can simply sell the landfills when they
close to a smaller firm, than the other firm can declare bankruptcy -- then
again any future problems are the taxpayers again.

Any thoughts on that?
