In 1991, the State passed AB 1327, which called for the creation of a Model
Ordinance establishing requirements for adequate areas for the collection
and loading of recyclables. If jurisdictions did not establish their own
recycling space requirements by September 1993, then the State's Model
Ordinance would be in effect.
