Northern Lights produces a series of fairly well done Special Collections on
various topics - they did one for viruses which can be found at the
following address:

Note the news item link about the development of a virus that can hide in
PDF files!  I never ceased to be amazed at the high degree of ingenuity,
creativity and sheer persistence that is invested in what can be best
described as malicious pursuits.
