To All:
A new Database of Environmental Consultants is available on the Local
Government Environmental Assistance Network (LGEAN) Web site at
http://www.lgean.org/consultants. The database enables local government
officials and other users to identify and contact consultants who perform
work in the environmental and geographical area in which they are
interested.
Local government officials and other Web site users will be allowed to
search the database beginning May 21 (we would like to fill the database
before we grant users access).
Consultants interested in registering for the database may do so at any
time. Companies may register with the database for one year at a cost of
$150.
Below, I have included a press release on the database. If you have any
questions, give me a call or send me an e-mail.

Register Now to Become Part of New Database of Environmental Consultants
Washington, D.C.- Consultants who perform environmental work for local
governments are invited to register for the Local Government Environmental
Assistance Network's (LGEAN's) new database of environmental consultants.
The database, located on the LGEAN Web site (http://lgean.org), enables
local government officials and other users to identify and contact
consultants who perform work in the environmental and geographical area in
which they are interested.
LGEAN's Consultants Database allows consultants to provide important
information about their companies to potential local government clients.
Consultants can enter important information into the database, such as a
company description, Web site address, contact information, company logo,
and local government references. This allows local officials to quickly
identify and review companies that can perform the services they need.
Managed by the International City/County Management Association (ICMA),
LGEAN is a "first-stop shop" providing environmental management, planning,
and regulatory information for local government appointed and elected
officials and their staff. Users include public works and environmental
service directors, city managers, mayors, and federal and state agency
employees. Averaging approximately 236,000 "hits" and 11,000 user sessions
per month, the LGEAN Web site's popularity continues to grow as word of
LGEAN's services spread and local government staffs increasingly look to
LGEAN as a primary source of information.
A one-year registration is available at a cost of $150. To subscribe to
LGEAN's Consultants database, go to the following Internet address:
http://www.lgean.org/consultants. For more information, contact Wyatt Green
at 202/962-3698 or lgeanconsults@icma.org.
