[GreenYes] Brownfields Assessment & Cleanup / Risk Assessment

Kencon Environmental and EnviroOne will sponsor two seminars:

BROWNFIELDS SITE ASSESSMENT, INVESTIGATIONS, AND CLEANUP OPTIONS” (April 9-10, 2001 - Philadelphia, PA)
and
“INTRODUCTION TO RISK ASSESSMENT FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PROFESSIONALS" (April 11, 2001 - Philadelphia, PA)

"BROWNFIELDS SITE ASSESSMENT, INVESTIGATIONS, AND CLEANUP OPTIONS"
This course is a MUST for every individual involved in preparing brownfields sites for productive reuse. While this course focuses on the assessments, investigations and cleanup of brownfields sites, it integrates issues related to community involvement, liability, regulation, and financing. Participants will also receive free copies of BROWNFIELDS SOFTWARE TOOLS (VALUED, BASED ON DEVELOPMENT COSTS, AT $15,000). These tools will enable the production of effective analytical data of known quality that can be used to make reliable brownfields decisions by all stakeholders.

“INTRODUCTION TO RISK ASSESSMENT FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PROFESSIONALS”
This course is for beginning and mid-level environmental professionals interested in expanding their knowledge of risk assessment. The course explores the scientific assessment of risks from exposure to chemicals in the environment. It addresses the role of policy in risk assessments, where assumptions are to be used in the absence of data, and where risk estimates are incorporated into the decision-making process.

INSTRUCTORS for these seminars include: DR. LARRY KEITH and DR. KOFI ASANTE-DUAH. These experts have a wealth of experience in academia, research, and consulting on brownfields issues. Together, they have over 200 publications, published over 60 books, and are respected worldwide on brownfields issues.
