Title: [GreenYes] Re: Help for a teacher friend in S. Africa?
DirectAid has a mission to educate children to take them out of
poverty. You can read about their efforts at this website
http://www.iosd.org/directaid/car.asp
http://www.iosd.org/directaid/howitworks.asp
They joined the "Blog Action Day 2008" event I started on slideshare
and you can see their presentation introducing it at the following
link:

Another way is to go to societies (like Buddhist or Church) to get
support for help. Usually societies have budget to donate funds to
causes that are on their agenda.
