I live on Kauai and would recommend the National Tropical Botanical
Gardens located here as a reference. They just completed design of a
new headquarters building built to LEED standards, and also have some
great youth programs with themes of invasive species control, food
security, preservation of native species, and the most sustainable
practice of all, community building. Here's their website;
