[GreenYes] Wisconsin's (Pigovian) fees on landfills increase today by $2.10 a ton

As part of the state budget bill adopted last week, the state of Wisconsin has increased its landfill surcharges by $2.10 a ton, including a $1 a ton increase in recycling fees to $4 a ton, and a $1.10 a ton increase for the environmental repair program for a total of $1.60 a ton.

 

In addition to these surcharges, the state also has other, smaller, tonnage fees to pay for other state solid waste management programs.
