Wayne, The Pennsylvania waste composition study (at link provided by Mike Giuranna) was very comprehensive, taking in all seasons and also variations among rural, urban, and suburban areas. It was done by RW Beck, if I remember correctly. Cheers, Gretchen Brewer Mass DEP In a message dated 1/9/07 8:03:26 AM, WAYNET@no.address writes: << Apologies for cross postings. We are considering conducting a waste composition study at our publicly owned landfills ( MSW - 275k tons/year & C & D - 110 ktons/year). I'm interested in knowing about other public organizations (counties, cities, towns, villages, waste districts, etc.) that have recently - within the past 3 years - conducted a solid waste composition study at their publicly owned landfill. Specifically, I would like to know what organization you used/hired to conduct the study, the generator groups you identified for waste sampling/analysis, the size of the landfill for which the study was performed and how many seasonal sampling periods you used. Any forthcoming information is greatly appreciated. >> --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "GreenYes" group.
