[GreenYes] Bulky Waste questions

I'm looking for information about successful padded furniture diversion and recycling. I'd like to hear about successful programs and what they do with the components of couches, living room chairs, box springs, even beds. 
 
More generally, I'd like to learn about bulky waste pick up diversion programs. This stream consists often of broken household furniture of all qualities, including laminate and padded furniture. I have heard of some programs which work with these materials and would like to learn more. 
 
Any cities willing to share their diversion rates for such a stream? I'd like to compare our local bulky waste diversion programs with others.
