Regarding my earlier post about Elle's upcoming (May) environmental issue -- which was taken from newsletter of woodenhorsepub.com (which monitors magazine industry), an Elle editor working on that issue writes to correct woodenhorse's take on Elle editor-in-chief Roberta Myers' quotes to WWD, to wit: "Robbie DID NOT say the words "bored to death" to describe how readers would feel about an ALL-green issue. In fact she's the editor who spearheaded Elle's environmental issue, and she went to great lengths to get it printed on recycled paper. For a glossy women's magazine whose advertisers care deeply about how their ads print, this is no small feat." |
