The GrassRoots Recycling Network (GRRN) is a North American network of recycling professionals and waste reduction activists that promotes Zero Waste as a critical element of a sustainable economy. GRRN seeks an Executive Director to lead GRRN in vision and program planning, with responsibility for fundraising, financial management and organizational development, jointly with our active Board of Directors. Qualifications: Demonstrated success in foundation, government and individual donor solicitation. Experience developing an effective Board of Directors, planning programs, and supervising staff and consultants. Strong oral and writing skills, and ability to engage diverse stakeholders. At least 3 years in senior management position. Entrepreneurial, creative attitude and ability to facilitate pro-active responses to opportunities and challenges. Able to create a productive working environment with staff and consultants. Ability to travel several times per year. The position is full-time, with a competitive salary depending on experience, plus generous benefits policies. Preferably in the San Francisco Bay Area, but other locations will be considered if the best candidate is unable to relocate.
