On the note of strange statistics: ....the BBC article says that the USA recycles nationally about 28%. I didn't add up the stat but the 2004 paper I read with state by state survey data from 2002 {"the State of Garbage in America"....joint study Earth En-gin @ Columbia et al) would suggests a much lower rate than 28% it would seem.....like somewhere around 12% to 15%.
