JOB NOTICE PVC CAMPAIGN COORDINATOR  The Center for Health, Environment & Justiceâs BE SAFE precautionary initiative is seeking a full-time Campaign Coordinator to launch a marketplace-driven campaign that shifts companies away from the manufacture and use of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) plastic, educates consumers and helps state and grassroots groups to address PVC hazards. The goals of the PVC campaign are to: (1) educate the public about the environmental health threats posed by PVC and the need to phase out the use of PVC; (2) channel consumer pressure to encourage strategically selected corporations to phase out their use of PVC; and (3) support the passage of state and local policies to phase out PVC and halt hazardous disposal practices.  Qualifications: Previous experience as a campaign organizer preferred. Excellent communication, writing and research skills. Experience in effective organizing and advocacy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Dedicated to building a stronger environmental health movement and promoting precautionary action.  Salary: Salary commensurate with experience.
