RE: [greenyes] Plastic bottles pile up as mountains of waste

A data point from the consumer perspective-- we have noticed a real surge in
interest for the reusable water bottles we offer.

Also there is definitely a growing cool factor involved in reusable water
bottles taking off. It is starting to move beyond hardcore eco-crowd; we are
also noticing people waking up to the fact that paying $1-$2 for single
bottle of water is dumb.

It is encouraging that a pull effect is happening in the market. It's small
now, but it will to grow.

Plastic bottles pile up as mountains of waste
Americans are guzzling more water out of plastic bottles than ever before,
but recycling fewer -- in part because so many of the bottles are used
outside the home.
