[greenyes] PETE-AL can

Folks,
  We started receiving the PETE-AL can (AL top, PETE with plastic
wrapper on bottom). 
  Recyclers don't want it. 
  * The aluminum guys don't want it because the can has PETE plastic and
film. 
  * The PETE guys don't want it because it has aluminum and film. 
  However, the state of California slapped a CRV label on the container,
and it has the recycling triangle on it.
  How have MRFs handled this new material?
  What can be done to stop this very mixed product from entering our
recycling stream?
