NOTICE OF BID OPPORTUNITY

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the City of San Diego is soliciting proposals for the commodity or service as described below. Bid Description: The City of San Diego (City) Environmental Services Department (ESD) is seeking proposals to design, construct, and operate an open-air Material Recovery Facility (MRF), located at the Miramar Landfill to process mixed construction, demolition, and inert (CDI) debris and other recyclable materials. The goal of the ESD is to develop a MRF to process and divert up to 1,500 tons per day of mixed CDI material from disposal at the Miramar Landfill, while creating the highest quality end–product possible; to enhance the marketability of diverted material; to ensure the long-term viability of the MRF operation; and to extend Miramar Landfill’s life.

When downloading the RFP document, please note that the attachments to the RFP, including the draft Agreement and Waste Composition Study Final Report are included in the RFP PDF file in the referenced order. If you are unable to utilize the online option, bid packages can be obtained by calling (858) 492-5085.

Submit completed proposals to City of San Diego Environmental Services Department, 9601 Ridgehaven Ct., Suite 320, San Diego, CA 92123, Attn: Jennifer Ott on or prior to the time specified above.

It is the Bidder’s responsibility to ensure that the most complete and current version of the bid or contract document has been downloaded or otherwise obtained, including any addenda. Incomplete proposals will not be accepted.
