According to reports from the Ministry of Commerce, China has banned imports 
of scrap electronic goods such as refrigerators and television sets where 
the U.S. has exported ewaste to.

The reports indicate that China now sees these imports "can have a 
devastating effect on the environment," outweighing the economic benefits.
