This isn't exactly what you requested, but I have information about an 
organization that reuses wine corks. The Environmental Discovery Center 
at Spring Lake Park in Sonoma County reuses the corks for craft projects 
with children. The Discovery Center is only equipped to accepted a 
limited number of corks, perhaps 1,000.

Other reuse organizations might also be interested in receiving corks in 
bulk. The East Bay Depot for Creative Reuse (in Berkeley) comes to mind.
