[greenyes] Recycling Careers?

I am a recent UC Berkeley grad who founded and ran a campus materials exchange for two years with a grant from the Ca Integrated Waste Management Board.  But for some reason, I am having a difficult time securing a job in the recycling field.
 
Does anyone have tips on recycling jobs in the Northern CA area?  I would be willing to work for non-profits, gov't, and companies that make recycled products or collect materials to be recycled.  Thanks!
