California Resource Recovery Association 
The California Resource Recovery Association is soliciting nominations for 
recycling and waste reduction industry awards to be presented this July at 
the 2003 CRRA Conference in Ontario. This year, nominations will be 
classified in one of the following headings:
Individual/citizens     CRRA Service Award* 

Business/industry   

Institutions (schools, hospitals, etc)  ?   

Nonprofit/community organizations   Rick Best Environmental Advocacy Award* 

Government (local, state, tribes, federal)  ?   

Recycler of the Year    
*These awards are determined by the CRRA Board  
Awards to be presented will recognize the most innovative program, the best 
new partnership, the most recycling achievement (by percentage), increased 
community participation, the best new public outreach program, greatest 
contribution to natural resource conservation, and the best new diversion 
program implemented, among others. Other criteria include creativity, 
comprehensiveness, and the quality of information provided in the nomination 
form. Preference will be given to CRRA members in determining award 
recipients. All nominations must be received by the Awards Committee no later 
than May 12th 2003, to allow time for award evaluation, selection and 
notification. Only current CRRA members may submit nominations. All qualified 
nominees will receive a certificate of appreciation from CRRA for their 
contributions to the recycling field. Nominations or questions regarding the 
process may be submitted via e-mail, fax, or regular mail service to the CRRA

please provide the following information on not more than one sheet of paper, 
double-sided. The following form does not need to be used, as long as all 
requested information is provided, including contact information for both 
nominee and nominator. Self-nominations are invited. Winners will be notified 
by July 1, 2003. All nominations received will be acknowledged. If you do not 
receive an acknowledgment within two weeks of nomination submittal, please 
follow up with the Awards Committee. All submittals become the property of
