When I worked at the Regional District of Central Kootenay recycling program
in Nelson, British Columbia, we accumulated aluminum foil. Our instructions
from our buyer was to make it into a bale. It took about five years, but we
finally sold it to our buyer. It's value is not as high of course as
aluminum cans, but we kept it out of the landfill. The bale included foil
and pie plate type material. We educated our customers to provide the
material clean.
So my suggestion is talk to your buyer and ask for instructions.
