I
understand that the fiber in molded paper egg cartons is so poor that when
recycled, most of it passes through the screens and washes out with the
water. As such, few paper recyclers will say they want them. Here in
our local communities we have a substantial reuse system through the
food coops that has been in place for many years. But that's OK, since
reuse is better than recycling!
