[GreenYes] RE: HELP! Cost figures needed
Hi Pat ~

There are several computer models that give the cost of collecting
recyclables. The most recent one that I have is the EPIC model from 1996,
although they may have a more recent model on their web page at
http://www.cpia.ca/StaticContent/StaticPages/epic/index.html. Time's a
little tight me right now, but I could scan it quickly to see if the book
lists default values.

Also of value is the Clean Washington Center report from 1993, "The
Economics of Recycling and Recycled Material". In that report, costs for
collection are allocated for both landfilling recycling on both a per weight
and a per volume basis. I would be glad to send those to you via fax if
those numbers would be recent enough.

Hopefully, someone else will have more recent data.
