[GreenYes] RE: researching Mercedes Benz "Disassembly" factories
Eric: I don't know the details but I do recall that Mercedes (remember
they are now DaimlerChrysler, so what they do in Germany certainly MUST
be known by management in the US!) has a system they call the Mercedes
Recycling System, which emphasizes retaining collected materials within
the company.

I had a former student intern of mine run a quick search and she came up
with this descriptive overview PDF, called "See you in the next life."

Perhaps a thorough search of the Mercedes Recycling System will point
you to more particulars.

Subject: researching Mercedes Benz "Disassembly" factories

Greetings all,

Can anyone help me in researching what exactly they did in Germany in
response to the EPR laws on cars ... I've heard stories about auto
"disassembly" factories, and even that some car redesign occurred ...
has all this been documented anywhere?
