[GreenYes] Condolences from Ireland

Siobhan:  Thank you for your kind thoughts.  Today, like yesterday, those of 
us on the East Coast, woke up to a beautiful, bright, clear day.  As I laid 
in bed this morning enjoying the moment, I actually forgot, for a moment, the 
horror of yesterday.
My family and I are in DC and we have many friends at the Pentagon (all of 
whom are accounted for).  My dear brother-in-law was in the second tower hit 
at the Trade Center yesterday and he is fine, although it's impossible to 
imagine the things he saw.  In this day of modern technology and high-speed 
access, it took us most of the day to find out he was okay and trying to walk 
home.

Because our schools are closed, today I'm taking care of my children (adopted 
from Russia) and the children of some friends, both of whom are air force 
officers at the Pentagon.  Can you image that these two dear children, 4 & 6, 
could have lost both parents 'except for the fact that they were on the 
'other' side of the building?  And my husband and I will give blood.  We 
don't know what else to do.  It certainly puts life and all our little 
problems into perspective.

I hope all is well with you and your loved ones.  Hug them all today and tell 
them you love them.

To all the American citizens on our list- 
I am so, so, sorry about what has happened- it still hasn't sunk in 
that it's for real. All those mums and dads, brothers and sisters who 
set off this morning never to return, it's heartbreaking.
   I just want to let you know that we are thinking and praying for 
you.........
