Re: [GRRN] energy (and other) savings through recycling
We can't ignore the cost of trucking the tires away and having them burned
in concrete plants or shredded for daily landfill cover.  There are also
costs associated with importing power from "somewhere else".

The interim plan for us is to convert some of the potential value of the
tires into energy rather than burying them.  We still need an energy plan
which will mean that we buy electricity from coal fired plants or from Hydro
Quebec.

Recycling is the ideal vision.  The pragmatic approach requires that the
perfect cannot be the enemy of the good.    EE Haa.
