[GreenYes] Furniture waste in the Bay Area

An interesting article that is in today's issue of the San Jose Mercury News about the Bay Area's dilemma of failed dot coms and lots of furniture with no where to go.
Charities can't afford dot-com office castoffs
(By L.A. Chung , Mercury News Staff Columnist)
Note to dot-coms and failing businesses: Even charities don't
want your stuff. Besieged by people offering swivel chairs,
faux wood desks and workstations, charities can afford to be
choosier. Is it an antique? A home-size computer desk? Groups
such as the Salvation Army just might be able to take those.
