To some extent, much of the State of Wisconsin has "dropped" the
collection of #3-7 plastics.

Under state law, #3-7 plastic were to have been required to be
recycled by households, businesses and institutions.

However, due to a lack of economical markets, a long term waiver has
been provided to this requirement -- few programs were even set up
to handle these materials -- although some communities and
businesses do recycle them.
