i think your arguments are valid, but i do agree with DK's comments.
If we alienate
small haulers and processors we will only be shooting ourselves in the foot.
Also, i think DK is right that there have been significant subsidies of
recycling programs but i'd like to see hard numbers from the 50 states so as
to compare these with all of the virgin subsidies. It is hard for me to
believe that recycling has gotten equal amount of money. The other thing is
that virgin industries have been getting subsidiest and special land deals
for decades...recycling has only recently been getting large quantities of $.
