[GreenYes] biobased plastic bags

Dennis,
There are no 100% biobased plastic bags on the market.  Most are between 20 and 32%.  The percentage is increasing and I think we'll see some more bags on the market with upwards of 80% biobased content.  Be sure to ask manufacturers for their test results on this. ASTM D7075 is the standard testing protocol for biobased content.
The compostable plastic bags on the market consist mostly of biodegradable fossil-fuel-based plastic.
Cheers,
Brenda

Does anyone have a source of 100% plant based compostable bags that could be
used as liners for 48 gallon food scrap collection totes?

Thank you,

Dennis
