[GreenYes] Re: zero waste events

Title: [GreenYes] Re: zero waste events

Sue:  In Logan County, Ohio we conducted our first zero waste event in
July, an outdoor vendor fair with 7,000 visitors over a three day
period with 46 vendors, 6 of them serving food.  This was a work in
progress after much research and planning.  We diverted from the
landfill 91% of the 4,240 pounds of waste generated. A complete
report, including our miscues and misjudgments, is available on
request.  We also conducted our second zero waste event, an indoor
banquet which managed to divert 96.68% of 58 pounds of trash
generated.  Report also available upon request.
