COLLEGE HUNKS HAULING JUNK
DONATES MORE THAN 6,000 LEGAL BOOKS TO LOCAL CHARITY

Valued at more than $12,000, with a retail value significantly higher, the 330+ boxes of books will benefit Diana's Books (www.dianasbooks.org), whose mission is to rescue and redistribute books to people in need.

Washington, DC - June 20, 2007 - College Hunks Hauling Junk(tm)  (www.1800JunkUSA.com), Washington DC's innovative bulk-trash removal service, recently collected more than 6,000 legal books while clearing out unwanted items from the powerhouse law firm Sherman Meehan Curtan & Ain located in downtown DC.

Opposed to the idea of discarding the books, College Hunks Hauling Junk donated them to a local charity, Diana's Books, whose mission is to rescue and redistribute books to people in need with the belief that access to information empowers people. Maryann Weber, the executive administrator of Diana's Books, was overwhelmed by the magnitude of the books.

"At College Hunks Hauling Junk, we remove people's unwanted items on a daily basis and are very familiar with the phrase 'one man's trash is another man's treasure'," said Nick Friedman, College Hunks Hauling Junk's President.  "As a DC native and business owner, it is very rewarding to have the opportunity to give back to the community that I have such a strong connection with."
Along with donating usable items and products from job sites to local charities, the company also has a long-standing charitable relationship with College Bound (www.CollegeBound.org), a non-profit located in Washington, DC, whose mission is to prepare public school students in the Washington, DC area to earn a 4-year college degree. In the presence of Washington, DC Mayor Adrian M. Fenty, College Hunks Hauling Junk recently donated $6,000 towards College Bound's Scholarship fund at the organization's 16th annual end of year celebration.

The charitable efforts do not stop in DC, however, as the company's Orlando Franchise recently donated 200 pairs of brand new tennis shoes while removing unwanted items from a local athletic shoe warehouse.  Carrying a retail value of more than $10,000, the shoes will benefit the Central Florida chapters of the Harbor House, Meals on Wheels and the Coalition for the Homeless.
