[GreenYes] new Philadelphia center to be..

I just wanted to share the following semi-announcement. So I went to
the Zero Waste conference in NYC.. and then I've been puttering around
here occasionally piping up. Before then, I was working to try and
restart the Philadelphia-based Please Take Materials Exchange.. (formerly
known as the Creative Artists' Resource Project) a 501(c)3 organization.
It had always been our dream to aquire a large space to develop into a
"Greater Philadelphia Arts & Reuse Center" -- with both facilities, and
space for the materials exchange, as well as space to share with other
reuse and community organizations.

It's been a long time coming (5-6 yrs) with lots of ups and downs.. but I
have finally found a large brownfield/industrial property, and BOUGHT IT!
It's a huge beautiful, dilapidated old textile mill..

To help make this happen, we formed Phactory,LLC to aquire and manage the
property; but there's still a lot of questions to work out, financing to
arrange.. renovations to do, solutions to find, etc. etc. I'm sure many
of you who have done similar things know what I'm getting myself into.. eep!

Hey, any nice folks out there want to help get a new creative reuse/zero
waste center off the ground? :)
