The Missouri Botanical Garden has a flower pot recycling program that
has been successful for several years.  Try contacting Dr. Steven (I
think) Kline.  The general number there is:  1-800-642-8842.

A year or so ago, Olmsted County, Minnesota did a pilot project to
recycle plastic planting pots with a local landscape company. The
project went well and has expanded. For details, contact Jack
