Industry celebrates EU deca-BDE exemption

Industry gave a strong welcome on Monday to confirmation that the EU
has exempted the brominated flame retardant deca-BDE from the
restriction on hazardous substances (RoHS) directive. A new law was
published in the bloc's official journal on 15 October at the European
Commission's behest after member states failed to decide for or against
