[greenyes] ceramics recycling

Dear GreenYessers:
I received a question from a resident, and before I respond, I thought I'd 
check this with all of you.  Are ceramics like dishes recyclable?  Does 
anybody recycle them?  It seems like dishes could be ground into road base 
as easily as old plumbing fixtures (probably easier), and there might be 
better uses for the stuff that I'm not familiar with.  Anybody know about 
this?
