Subject: Landfill gas

I am pursuing the physics of gas production from various types of
landfill sites, given the rising price of natural gas. Their gas
production may well become more interesting.
Do you happen to know how or where formulas might exist on the relative
amount of gas that a landfill could be expected to produce or that would
be recoverable? Or, if there are any estimates (public domain) on the gas
output of various sites?
Any pointers you might suggest in this area are most welcome.
