What: The15th NREL Industry Growth Forum will be held October 29th and 30th
at the Desmond Hotel
& Conference Center, Albany, New York. It is expected to be  the largest
clean energy venture forum held
to date, and will bring together an unprecedented group of business
professionals focused on the emerging
clean energy market. This is the only event of its kind to focus exclusively
on clean energy technology
companies, with products to serve the biomass, wind, hydrogen,
photovoltaics, energy efficiency, fuel cell,
power quality, and energy storage technology markets.

NREL is the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, the U.S. Department of
Energy's (DOE) premier laboratory
for renewable energy research and development.  NREL is headquartered in
Golden, Colo. First held in 1995,
NREL Forums provide clean energy companies with expert advice and insights
into the venture capital community.
The Industry Growth Forum is organized by NREL in partnership with NYSERDA
and two members of the National
Alliance of Clean Energy Business Incubators, Albany NanoTech and the
Rensselaer Incubator Program.

More than 100 financiers including venture capitalists, angel investors,
commercial and investment
bankers and private lenders, as well as representatives of the nation's
largest and most innovative energy
companies -- will attend the event. Thirty of the top clean energy companies
will present their business
plans in the "National Clean Energy Venture Competition," sponsored by
Bechtel.

8:00 a.m. - Keynote Address: Senator Charles E. Schumer of New York,
"Meeting National Needs through Clean Energy Technology"
6:25 p.m. - Dinner Speaker: Masahiko Fukumoto, General Manager, Strategic
Marketing, GE Power Systems

Wednesday, October 30, 2002

8:00 a.m. - Industry Panel Session - The panel will explore the recent
forecasts that predict the clean energy market will grow dramatically in the
next decade, driven by a confluence of factors: rising environmental
pressures, increased security concerns, need for better power quality and
reliability, and technological advances. Moderator: Bill Flynn, President,
New York State Energy and Research Development Authority (NYSERDA).
Panelists include: John A. Cococcia, Principal, FA Technology Ventures;
Michael T. Eckhart, President, Solar International Management, Inc.; Matt
Jones, Principle, Nth Power Technologies; Thomas P. Cummings, Business
Development Officer, Export/Import Bank of the U.S.; Gerald W. Braun, Vice
President, EnerGetix Group

12:00 p.m. - Awards Luncheon: Presentation of the "National Clean Energy
Venture Competition" by Bechtel. Featured Speaker: Christine Sloane, General
Motors "Freedom Car and the developing Hydrogen Industry"
