Dear C. Williams,
Since you asked--you can send a contribution to CRI and it would be highly
appreciated and put to good use. CRI worked hard to prevent this repeal, but
we were greatly outspent by the food and beverage industries.
I think a legal overturn is unlikely, however. Better to document the
mis-information campaign in Columbia and try for re-instatement next year,
and/or focus on other campaigns we have going, like getting a new BB passed
in Hawaii, preventing upsets in New York, Iowa and Massachusetts, and working
on a national bottle bill.

Based on the above statement/facts is it time for the GRRN, NRC,
Audubon Society, etc. to engage in legal action to overturn the Columbia
vote. Surely within the membership ranks of these environmental groups
there must be an attorney/law firm that would be committed to correcting
this travesty.
Perhaps a legal funding PR campaign in combination with a push for a
national bottle bill can help with the statement "won the battle- lost
the war." It is time that the bottlers be held accountable.
Please tell me where to send my $5..... C. Williams
