Please distribute. Job #416/01-ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAM SPECIALIST Environmental Services Hiring Range: $28,629-47,807 Work Schedule/ Location: Mon.-Fri. 8:30a.m. -5:15p.m./Waverly F. Akins Wake County Office Building (337 S. Salisbury Street) Minimum Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's degree in the environmental field and 3 years of experience in a job related field; or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge and experience in public relations. Familiarity with solid waste issues, solid waste program operations and local government processes. Strong oral/written communication and interpersonal skills. Duties: Develop and implement waste reduction and recycling programs for commercial, industrial and institutional sectors; provide technical assistance for commercial, industrial and instructional sectors based on directives from the Wake County Solid Waste Management Division and Wake County Solid Waste Advisory Committee; administer Business Grant Program and contracts relating to established programs; and complete other duties as assigned.
