Dear John:

My suggestion is to contact the Solid Waste Division of the Israeli
Ministry of the Environment. This Ministry has an English version of their
website which is:

http://www.environment.gov.il/Eng-site/About/about_frame.htm

Page down the active frame until you come to a series of links to various
divisions - one of them is for solid waste management. Click on this link
and it will lead to an informational page with some interesting recycling
statistics (1997) as well as a tel. and fax number. I did not see an
e-mail link but I am sure there is one you could use posted elsewhere on
this site.
