NERC Searches for Top-Quality Recycling Firms Seeking Equity

The Northeast Recycling Council (NERC) has begun its search for
top-quality recycling firms to participate in the Fourth Annual
Northeast Recycling Investment Forum on May 5, 1999, in Boston, MA.
This one-day event will provide entrepreneurs who are seeking equity
with direct exposure to a diverse audience of investors including
individual "angel" investors, venture capitalists, bankers, corporate
investors, investment intermediaries, economic developers and state
recycling officials. At the Forum, featured firms will make formal
presentations of their business plans and will showcase their products
or services at table-top displays. Participants will also benefit by
participating in a training to refine their presentation skills and
learn how to effectively approach and market their businesses to
investors. In addition, the businesses will be highlighted in all Forum
press materials. The Forum application deadline is February 15, 1999.
NERC is presenting this year's Forum with primary sponsorship from U.S.
EPA, New England Regional Office; and with additional sponsorships and
contributions from the Empire State Development Office of Recycling
Market Development, the Chelsea Center for Recycling & Economic
Development, the Massachusetts Executive Office of Environmental
Affairs, the American Plastics Council and the National Recycling
Coalition.
NERC is a non-profit organization established in 1987 by the Eastern
Regional Conference of the Council of State Governments. NERC's
membership is composed of state recycling, solid waste and economic
development officials, and legislators, from Connecticut, Delaware,
Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania,
Rhode Island and Vermont.
