My office has received a request from a legislator that says, "Some people now say landfills have progressed to the point they are safe, and we shouldn't spend the extra money pretreating waste."
I am looking for factual, scientific, non-rhetorical information on subtitle D landfill failure rates, air and water emissions, long-term mitigation issues and other information that might help prove the claim I make above.
Any and all suggestions appreciated.
