Investors may push Coke to use recycled PET
ATLANTA (Oct. 22, 2:30 p.m. EDT) -- Several
"socially responsible" investment houses are raising
questions about Coca-Cola Co.´s lack of recycled
PET in its plastic bottles and say they may force a
vote on it at the company´s annual meeting. The
investment firms are concerned about falling PET
recycling rates, and Coke´s increased use of plastic
in place of aluminum and glass containers with
recycled content.
