Just wanted to let you know that I thought your comments on wet dry are right
on. I have worked to implement some wet/dry programs in LA. (The firrst
ones down here) They have been quite successfull. We do education along
with the program, so that the most important component isn't left out.
Unfortunately, there are some cities opting for similar systems, (ie: dirty
mrf) but providing no education, therefore not creating a change in consumer
buying or tossing habits. Quite a defeat of the purpose of AB939 even if
they do achieve a 50% diversion.
